Small group ministries
Grow groups are small group gatherings that create opportunities for people to develop relationships, grow spiritually, and reach out to share what they have with others. An example of a small group in the Bible, would be Jesus and his 12 apostles.
In Mark 3:13-19, it identifies a special group of disciples that Jesus appointed to walk with him. According to verse 14 and 15, these apostles were selected to go out and preach, have power to heal sicknesses, and cast out demons. In essence, this group of apostles were established as a small group.
At First University SDA Church, Grow groups will serve as an opportunity for people to connect, grow, and share in a community. 1U Grow groups will meet on a semester basis. Each grow group will run from 6 weeks to 10 weeks.
